ARTWORK

Artwork is to be submitted as camera ready artwork, which is defined as a black and white color separated positive image with clean sharp lines that does not require any alterations (except for re-sizing). The following are not considered camera ready artwork: photocopies, faxed art, sketches, stationary, business card(s), and other imprinted products. SNiPS of VB . reserves the right to reject any art that is not considered camera ready art.

ELECTRONIC ARTWORK

Artwork may be provided on CD-ROM, by email or via our site qoute form as an upload. (note: email must specify contact name and order number in the subject line).

Files must be vector art format with minimum of 300 DPI resolution.
All fonts must be converted to paths, curves, or outlines.
All font names used in the artwork must be supplied.
Half-tones, gray scales, tints, percent of color, and/or shades are acceptable. We print 100% color only unless the art is to be produced in 4 color process or simulated process. Call us at 1-888-634-5008b, for additional information concerning art other than 100% color /line art.
Bitmap files will require an art charge.

We accept the following formats: CorelDraw X4 (files saved as .CDR) Files saved as .EPS. All artwork is done in a PC based environment. We are able to work with MAC based files as long as the file has been saved in a PC compatible format. Abode Illustrator files must be saved to Illustrator 8 or lower.

Art Reminders:

when sending artwork via the website the file size must be less than 2000meg
compress files using WinZip before emailing if possible
images on the internet are usually only 72 DPI and are not useable
convert fonts to paths, curves, or outlines
provide font or type face name(s) used in art with art layout.

Artwork provided in a low resolution or another file format other than PC based .CDR or .EPS may be subject to art charges. Art charges are given on a per quote basis since each job is different.

TYPESETTING

Text Only - (no design or artwork) is qouted on request. All copy must be submitted typewritten or suppied with our qoute form to avoid misinterpretation.

IMPRINT SIZE and POSITION

Artwork will be sized accordingly to the item unless otherwise specified.

PRODUCTION TIME

Normal production time is 3 to 8 weeks after art is received and approved. Please allow ample time for shipping from FOB Virginia. Contact SNiP's for RUSH service.

PRE-PRODUCTION PROOFS

PROOFS

Paper proofs are recommended to verify accuracy of layouts and will be sent unless waived in written form by customer. Proofs are required for any order with personalization's. Orders will not proceed into production without proof returns. Our schedule is for proofs to be returned with 48 hours of being sent, proofs not returned may delay order shipping within the normal production time. Contact SNiP's for additional information and charges for proofs, pre-production samples and speculative samples.

SCREEN/FILM CHARGES

$20.00 for the per color per item.

PERSONALIZATION

Names or personalized messages up to 25 spaces can be added with no minimums. Notification of an omission or mistake must be made within two business days for replacement to be sent at no charge. Due to the custom nature of personalization, in-process production and/or completed products may not be returned or refunded.

ORDERING

All orders are to be type written or printed. SNiP's is not responsible for orders that are not clear. Customer will be contacted within two business days that order has not been accepted because it is not legible.
All ship dates must be specified on the order. SNiP's will advise you if specified ship date cannot be met. Orders are to include item #, Item description, quantity, imprint color(s), location of logo/artwork, and any special instructions, ex. Personalization. SNiPS of VB Inc. cannot be responsible for any misinterpretation of copy layout on handwritten orders or layouts. Reorders are available within your SNiP's of VB account online. Reorders of any original orders may be made here. Orders can be placed with advance ship dates up to one year, please contact us for details.

OVER and UNDER RUNS

We strive to produce the exact quantity ordered, but this is not always possible. 10% is the industry standard. We do not ship overruns without approval from the customer.

TOLERANCE OF REGISTRATION and COLOR MATCHING

Our products are produced within industry standard guidelines of 1/16” tolerance for registration. Every effort is made to color match products within industry acceptable guidelines. Variations from run to run and order to order may occur due to the nature of Printing and Embroidery. Please keep in mind differences may occur from color proofs to actual products due to the nature of the merchandise. We use industry standard Pantone matching when requested otherwise acceptable industry standards.

TERMS

Credit cards accepted VISA, Master Card, Discover and American Express. All first time, orders require prepayment in full. Call of additional information regarding net terms for established accounts.

CANCELLATIONS, CHANGES, and CONFIRMATIONS

SNiPS of VB Inc. reserves the right to commence production upon receipt on an order. Changes including cancellations must be submitted in writing. Changes and cancellations will be accepted with the full understanding the customer will be charged for any order processing or production already completed at time of charge and/or cancellation. SNiPS of VB Inc. does not accept responsibility for duplication of orders when confirming orders do not state "CONFIRMATION".

COPYRIGHT, TRADEMARK, and SERVICE MARK

All material submitted by the customer for use by the SNiP's to produce items ordered will be considered to be in full compliance with all applicable laws in regards to trademark, service mark, copyright, patent, or similar protection. When orders are manufactured to customer's specifications the customer shall hold SNiPS of VB Inc.. harmless from any liability for trademark, service mark, copyright, patent, or similar infringements, proprietary rights violations, invasion of privacy or other personal rights violations.

SHIPPING

We take pride in our products and do not want it to be damaged in transit. We ship via UPS, FED EX or FPO USPS motor freight whichever is most economical for the customer. Most of our orders ship via UPS or FedEX add $5.00 handling charge each outside box. Please note we will pack as many items (which can be different items) in a box as possible. Call for additional details. All shipping is confirmed on order confirmation All shipments are F.O.B. Virginia.

DAMAGED MERCHANDISE CLAIMS and RETURNS

Any damaged merchandise must be reported upon receipt of shipment. All packaging materials (damaged item & all inside packing material including outside shipping box with address & tracking label) must be retained for the carrier inspection. Claims reported after 10 days from receipt of shipment or without all packaging material may not be honored. Custom imprinted products are non-returnable unless defective. All defective products must be reported within 5 business days of receipt of order.

DROP SHIPMENT or SPLIT SHIPMENT

Drop or split shipments are billed at $5.00 per shipment location after the first shipment. Customer must provide labels and a type listing in alphabetical order. Drop shipments must be made at the same time. Split shipments must be made within 30 days of the initial shipment. The entire order will be invoiced on the date of the initial shipment.

STORAGE

Orders are processed and invoiced upon completion for shipment. Orders on a “will call for ship date” or delayed ship date shipping will be held for one week at no charge. After one week a charge of $20.00 per week/ per pallet for storage will apply.

INDIVIDUAL MAILINGS

Will be made at a cost of $6.00 per mailing address, with actual shipping charges added. If mailing is to a residential address must be indicated in typewritten address provided. Additional charges incurred by SNiPS of VB for residential addresses not being identified will be charged back to customer. For individual mailings greater than 20, information must be supplied in electronic format. Contact us for additional details for Individual mailings and any special services we can provide for example gift wrapping and packaging.

PACKAGING and BOXES

We are happy to custom package products. All items are bulk packaged; additional charges apply for individual or special boxing. Call for details to meet your special request.

ENCLOSURE CARDS

Cards supplied by customer will be inserted at no charge. Cards requiring being tied onto items add $0.50 per item. Call SNiP's for details on additional costs if SNiP's designs and supplies your cards.

NATURE OF CERAMICS and GLASSWARE

Due to the inherent nature of custom items produced by foreign and domestic manufacturers, there may be slight imperfections and irregularities which should not be perceived as defective. For example, a two-tone Buckles may have a spec of plating on one or the others area of the buckle. Variations in materials, firing temperatures, and plating’s may result in variations in platting. These variations are within industry standard and therefore are considered acceptable.

WARRANTY

SNiPS of VB Inc. warrants its products for satisfactory workmanship and material. Merchandise that is received defective is to be returned to SNiPS of VB and will be replaced after evaluation. Liability is limited to invoice cost of the item(s). Prices are subject to change without notice.
